How to Fix Too Much Hair in My Kinky Twists
Kinky Twists use your natural hair plus synthetic hair twists to add length and texture to your hair. If you're doing kinky twists yourself for the first time, you may notice that you have too much hair in the twists. Because you're also using the synthetic hair, you do not need very large sections of your own hair to get a perfect twist. Luckily, if you have made your kinky twists too big, fixing the problem isn't difficult. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Undo the ends of the kinky twist that you're unhappy with, then slowly and gently untwist your hair.
-
2
Separate the hair that you untwisted into two sections. Remove half the synthetic hair and put it aside; you will use it later.
-
-
3
Split the first section of your hair down the middle so you now have two small, equal sections.
-
4
Fold the remaining synthetic hair in half, if not folded already. Slide the fold over the hair section and push it against your scalp. Hold one side of the synthetic hair and one small hair section in your hand. Hold the other side of the synthetic hair and hair section in your other hand.
-
5
Twist the one small section of your hair around one side of the synthetic twist three to four times; then twist the second small section of hair around the other side of the synthetic twist three to four times. Make each twist snug and tight without hurting your scalp.
-
6
Apply a dime-size drop of gel to the ends of your natural hair to ensure they stay tightly bound without frizzing out of the twist.
-
7
Twist the two synthetic/hair sections around one another in a two-strand twist. Continue until you've passed the end of your natural hair.
-
8
Leave the end of the twist open at the end so that it loosens slightly.
-
9
Repeat Steps 3 through 8 with the leftover synthetic hair and the second half of the original twist. Repeat these Steps to fix any other twists that are too large.
