How to Design Games for Girls Only

Dressing up is not only fun for kids--tweens and teenagers love it, too.

Girls love to get together with other girls for birthday and sleepover parties. In order for a girl to throw an amazing party, she will need fun games and activities to keep her guests busy having a good time. Girls love to dress up, especially when there is a challenge involved. A dating dress-up game is a game that girls will love to play.

Instructions

Dress-Up Game

1. Collect old clothes, costumes, costume jewelry, hats, glasses and shoes from around the house. Bring the clothes to the room in which the game will take place and separate each item into separate sections: clothes in one box, hats in another and so on.

2. Take index cards and write on each a different location such as Movie Theater, Beach, Zoo and Park. Place all the cards in a single pile.

3. Pick a card from the top of the index pile and dress up for a date that will take place at that location. If the index card says Movie Theater, then the girl needs to pick clothes, shoes and accessories that would be appropriate for the date at that place. Every girl at the party should take a card and everyone will be dressing up at the same time.

4. Pick a judge who is not part of the game to choose a girl with the best outfit for her date to be the winner. A mother, father or older sisters are example of judges that could give an objective opinion. The criterion for a good costume is one that is appropriate for the date that the girl is going on. For example, a girl headed to the beach would be wearing a bathing suit or shorts and a tee-shirt. Another way to pick a winner is for the worst costume for the occasion. Girls will then try to find outfits completely inappropriate for the date's location.

Tips & Warnings

• A great way to have a lot of clothing to choose from is by asking friends to bring old dress-up clothing, shoes and accessories with them.
