How to Play a TomTom Voice on a PC
TomTom is a brand of popular personal GPS systems. Like some other GPSes, TomTom GPS systems allow you to download and install celebrity voices that give you unique audible directions while driving. If you want to sample available TomTom voices on your PC before you purchase and install them you can do so by sampling them from the website they are available on, whether it's the TomTom website or a third-party website. Sampling and playing TomTom voices on your PC is free and can be entertaining even if you do not own a TomTom GPS system.

Open your preferred PC browser and navigate to the Sat Nav Voices webpage (see Resources).

Scroll down the page and click any of the voices that you want to play on your PC. A new window or tab (depending on your browser) will open.

Click the "Play" button next to Character Sample to play a sample of the TomTom voice.

Open your preferred PC browser and navigate to the NavTones webpage (see Resources).

Click the TomTom Voices link at the top of the page.

Scroll down the page and click the "Details" button next to any of the voices that you wish to sample and play on your computer. A new page or tab will appear.

Click the "Play Sample" button in the top right corner of the page to play the sample.

Open your preferred PC browser and navigate to the TomTom voices web page (see Resources).

Scroll down the page to see a list of voices available for download. Select one and click the "More info" link below it.

Click one of the Voice Sample links on the right side of the page to listen to the voice on your PC. Note that all characters have three voice samples.
