How to Insert an Amazon ID Into Squidoo

Squidoo offers personal Web space for promoting products. You can fill your Squidoo page with product modules, essentially links to the associated products, and earn money if another user purchases a product recommended in your modules. If you have an Amazon Associate account, Amazon Listmania list or you simply like Amazon's product listings, you can import Amazon products IDs into your Squidoo account and promote them on your Squidoo page.

Instructions

    • 1

Navigate your Web browser to the "Squidoo's Amazon Product Links for Squidoo" utility page on the SquidUtils website.

    • 2

Enter your ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number) into the utility's "Product ASIN" field. Alternatively, you can enter the Amazon product's Web address into the field.

    • 3

Enter your Amazon Associate account's identification number into the utilty's "Associate Tag" field -- omit this step if you don't have an Amazon Associate's account.

    • 4

Select the alignment of your product's text -- select either the "Left" or "Right" alignment bubble. Select your text's size -- choose either the "Small" or "Large" text option.

    • 5

Check the "Border" box to put a border around your product and the "Shadow" box to put shadows behind the text.

    • 6

Click on the "Get HTML" code button. Highlight the generated HTML code. Right-click on the code and then select the "Copy" option from the pop-up menu that appears.

    • 7

Log into your Squidoo account. Click on the "+" button, next to "Amazon" and under the "Add Modules (Shortcuts)" heading in your account. Click on the "Add" button at the bottom of the list of modules.

    • 8

Click on the "Edit" button, to the right of the newly created Amazon module. Right-click into the "Lens Description" field and then select the "Paste" option from the pop-up menu that appears.

    • 9

Enter a title for your Amazon product into the "Lens Intro Title" field, and then click on the "Save" button at the bottom of your new Amazon module.

Tips & Warnings

  • Rather than use the tool from SquidUtils, you could also insert plain text links into your lens.
