Stokes Basket Directions

A Stokes basket is designed to be used in conjunction with a rescue cart. It contains a backboard which is used to support an injured person, and a basket designed for mobility, so you can move the injured person while keeping him safe at the same time. The good news is that the basket is deigned to be quickly secured to the board for emergency purposes.

Instructions

    • 1

      Place the board in the basket and thread the straps on the sides of the bottom of the basket through the holes on the sides of the basket.

      Secure the straps with the Velcro fasteners on the ends of the straps.

    • 3

      Slide the foot end of the basket through the cradle portion of the rescue cart.

    • 4

      Position the basket in the cradle of the cart so that it fits completely inside the compartment, and no end is sticking out of the cart.
