How Do I Repair a Frigidaire Washer Model ATF6000ES Error Code E 20?

The Frigidaire ATF6000ES is a tumble-action washing machine with an automatic detergent dispensing system, variable water temperature, spin, time and fabric selections and a large capacity tub. While the washing machine should operate well with regular care and maintenance, an error code may appear on the electronic display if there is a problem. One such error code is "E20," which indicates a drain problem.

Things You'll Need

• Towels
• Clean cloth(s)
• Screwdriver (if necessary)

Instructions

1. Press "Stop/Cancel" and turn off the Frigidaire washing machine. Unplug from power.

2. Set towels under the hoses in the rear of the washer and disconnect the drain hose. Clean the drain hose screen and look for debris where the hose connects to the washer. Clean as necessary.

3. Remove the front access panel from the washing machine and locate the drain pump. Remove the screw clamp and clean out any debris that may be causing an obstruction.

4. Clean the sump hose that is connected to the trap cup and reassemble. Close the front access panel.

5. Restore power and press "Drain/Spin" to remove any remaining water from the tub.

6. Contact Frigidaire if the problem continues.
