  1. Assembly

    • 1

Ensure that you have all the pieces to the Shake N' Go speedway and the tools to assemble the product.

    • 2

Lay out all the pieces of the track on a flat, hard surface. Locate the numbers on the bottom of all track pieces; match the corresponding numbers and snap the pieces together for a secure fit.

Example; match the 1 on one track piece to the 1 on the other track piece.

    • 3

Assemble the track accessories. First, snap the "Start" sign into the holes at the start of the track and the barrels into the holes at the starting gate. Second, fit the banner sign into the matching holes on the track piece labeled 2 and 3 and the second banner into the matching holes on the track piece labeled 8 and 9. Now, fit the guard rails into the corresponding holes track piece labeled 5 and 7.

    • 4

Install the batteries into the cars. First, locate the battery compartment door on the bottom of the car. Next, use a Phillips-head screwdriver and loosen the screw in the battery compartment door, remove the door and set it aside. Insert 3 "AA" alkaline batteries, making sure to match the polarity as instructed. Now, replace the battery compartment door and tighten the screw with your screwdriver.

    • 5

Install the batteries in the racetrack. First, locate the battery compartment at the "Start" sign. Next, use the screwdriver to loosen the screws, remove the door and set it aside. Insert 4 "AA" alkaline batteries, making sure to match polarities. Now, replace the battery door and tighten the screws with your screwdriver.

Playing the Shake N' Go Speedway

    • 6

Locate the "On/Off" switch on the bottom of the car. Slide the switch to the "On" position, indicated by a filled circle. Locate the "On/Off" switch on the racetrack beside the "Start" sign. Slide this switch to the "On" position.

    • 7

Race the Shake N' Go cars for fun. Do this by lifting the car and shaking it to initialize the sounds; shake the car more to propel it further down the track. Promptly set the car on the racetrack once you have shaken it; the car should take off and the sounds and lights should come on. Pick up the car, shake it and return it to the racetrack when the car stops. Slide the power switch to the "Off" position, indicated by an empty circle, when you are done playing.

    • 8

Race the Shake N' Go cars to win. First, turn on both of the cars and the track as indicated in step 2. Next, lift the two starting gates on the track and the cars to initialize the sound effects. Now, locate the arrows behind the starting gates and set the cars on them. Listen for the announcer to give you the go ahead, then press the pedal. Watch the cars speed around the track and listen as the announcer calls out the race details. Pick up the car, shake it and place it back on the track to continue or finish the race.

Tips & Warnings

  • Replace the batteries when the sounds become muted or stop.

  • Do not mix old and new batteries.

  • Shake the car a maximum of 7 to 8 times to achieve greater distance; anything more than this will not increase the speed.

  • Press the "Reset" button on the top the "Start" sign to wake it up; this happens if the track is not used for a few minutes.

  • Wipe the racetrack down with a clean, damp cloth.

  • Keep hair away from wheels.

  • Do not immerse the racetrack or cars in water.
