1
Remove the sub woofers from the speaker box with a screwdriver. Set the speaker box on a sturdy surface, like a counter or table. Use the sander to sand down any roughness or bumps on the box. Do this to all sides.
-
2
Spray an even coat of the primer on each side. Allow this to dry completely. The primer will help the paint adhere smoothly to the speaker box.

3
Spray the entire box with the desired base color. Allow each side to dry completely. To get the best results, you will need several coats. Allow the paint to dry in between coats to prevent runs.
-
4
Lay the stencils in the desired place on your speaker box. Take one color of spray paint and use a back-and-forth sweeping motion over the stencil to get an even coat. If you are using a light color you may need to apply a few layers. Allow the areas to dry completely between coats of paint. This will prevent streaks and running paint.

5
Apply the stencils to different areas of the box and spray over with different colors as desired. If you have the painting skills, you may also freehand paint on your box as well. This will create the graffiti look.
-
6
Allow the box to dry completely after each layer of color. Spray a gloss coat of paint over the whole box in large, back-and-forth sweeping motions. Allow this to dry. Then apply a second coat of clear gloss over the box again. Allow it to dry completely before installing the speakers into the box.
