Several airlines now offer the option of using your smartphone as a paperless boarding pass. To use this service, check in for your flight using your airline's Web check-in system. At the conclusion, send an electronic copy of your boarding pass to your smartphone's messaging or email application. Use this electronic copy of your boarding pass at security and the gate to board your plane.
Go to your airline's website within 24 hours of your scheduled flight. Select the option to "Check In" for your flight from the airline's homepage.
Enter your reservation number and last name in the appropriate fields and click the "Check In" or "Search" button to find your reservation and check in for your flight.
Follow the online prompts to confirm your information and select your seats.
Select the option to send your boarding pass to a phone or email. You will find this on the final page of the online check-in system. If available, the option will appear along with a printable copy of your boarding pass.
Enter your 10-digit cell phone number or the email address associated with your smartphone. The airline automatically will send your boarding pass to your phone.
