How to Set Up a Hoover Carpet Steam Cleaner
Hoover offers a variety of vacuum and steam cleaning units, all which work effectively in keeping the carpet tidy. A steam cleaner is set up similarly to a basic vacuum cleaner and is used the same way. The difference is in the extra elements used to give your carpet a deeper cleaning. Sit the steam cleaner in an upright position.

Twist off the cap of the water canister and fill with tap water. Twist the cap back on.

Fill the cleaning solution compartment with steam cleaning solution. Upon purchase of your Hoover unit you are given a bottle of cleaner. When this runs out you can either purchase from Hoover or from your local home improvement store.

Plug in and turn on the Hoover steam cleaner. Give it about one minute to heat up.

Pull the steam trigger and push the Hoover unit over your flooring just like a vacuum cleaner. Continue until you clean your entire carpet and let the carpeting air dry.

Snap off the base by pulling the release switch after cleaning. Empty the dirty water and rinse out the base to get rid of residue. Let the base air dry before attaching back to the Hoover unit.
