How to File a Compliant Against a Garage
Take action if you feel that you've been wronged by a garage. First, air your complaint to the manager or owner of the garage. If your attempts to resolve the issue fail or if you still feel dissatisfied, you can take it a step further and file an official complaint.

Go to the website of the Better Business Bureau. Enter your Zip/Postal code and on the following page select "File a Complaint".

Click "Next" and select the appropriate radio buttons for each heading on the following page. Repeat this process on the following pages until you come to the page entitled "Tell us your location".

Type your country and Zip/Postal code and enter either the telephone number of the garage, the company's name, or the URL to the garage's website. If the garage can be found in the database of the BBB, it will show the listing on the following page; if not, you must select "Next" again and enter the information yourself.

Type your information into the complaint form along with the actual complaint (summarize your complaint using as much detail as possible). Once typed, write the steps that you believe should be taken. Once you have entered the information, select "Submit" to send your complaint against the garage to the BBB.

Go to the website of the current state attorneys generals. On the left side of the page, select your state.

Click the link under the name of the attorney general for your state. On the bottom of the page, click a link that says "Contact Us" (or the equivalent).

Type your information on the following page and the complaint against the garage. Again, be clear and specific. Once you have filled out the information, select "Submit" and a representative from the office of your state's attorney general will either email or call you with information concerning the next steps.
