How to Make Your Own Studio Lighting
Not everyone with a camera has the ability to take professional looking photographs. However, if a professional photo studio is available, it is sure to make the quality of the photos increase dramatically. Since many people can't afford to rent a professional studio, they opt to improvise and create their own studio with improvised lighting. Creating your own studio lighting can be easily done using only a few items along with strategic placement.

Purchase three 500-watt halogen work lights along with three tripods. Attach the lights to the tripods.

Select a room with white or bright colored walls for your photo shoot. Hang a white or bright colored sheet as the backdrop.

Set up the tripods on each side of the sheet. Aim the lights directly at the backdrop.

Set up a third light at the rear of the backdrop. Position the light on the floor aiming up towards the subject to be photographed to eliminate shadows.

Take a few test photos to ensure the lighting is to your liking.
