How to Punch Silver Grommets in Fabric
When you are decorating a garment, such as a jacket or blouse, you can end up spending a lot of money on decorative accessories that may not end up looking beautiful once they are applied. One solution is to apply inexpensive silver grommets onto the fabric, which can make the garment look casual or dressy depending on what other items of clothing you are going to wear with it. You can purchase silver grommets and a grommet punch press at any craft supply store.

1
Cut a small hole into the fabric using scissors. Make the hole about half the size of a pea.
-
2
Place the wrong side of the silver grommet onto the bottom of the grommet punch press, and slide the fabric into the press so that the hole is positioned directly over the silver grommet. The wrong side of the grommet will be convex and resemble a bowl.

3
Place the right side of the silver grommet into the top of the grommet punch press, and squeeze the press together. This will cause the two sides of the grommet to become securely connected together on the fabric. The right side of the grommet will be concave and resemble a peg.
-
4
Repeat this process to add on as many silver grommets as you prefer.
