How to Use Impact Sockets

When working on a car, one of the most common tools to use is a ratchet and set of sockets. When you're trying to remove a wheel lug or a stubborn bolt, one option is to use an electric or pneumatic impact wrench, which can get the bolt off by striking the bolt repeatedly while turning the bolt loose. To do that though, you can't use a traditional socket, because it could shatter from the impacts. To solve the problem, you can use an impact socket on your impact wrench.
