How to Send Picture Emails to Phones

You could be looking to share your favorite pics with a friend, or perhaps just backing up your computer photos on your cellphone. Network carriers provide "SMS Gateways" for sending of email messages, including picture messages, to cellphone numbers. The only catch is that you must follow a format, specified by the network carrier, when sending the email to any phone number.

Instructions

1. Log in to your email address account, such as Hotmail or Google Mail, and click "New" or "Compose mail" to send a new email.

2. Attach the picture to the email as you would for any regular email.

3. Enter the email address of the phone number to which you are sending the picture email in the "To" field of the email. It is important to enter the email address in the correct format. Different carriers incorporate different email addresses for delivering email messages to phone numbers on their network. For instance, to send the picture email to the phone number "1234567890," which is currently on AT&T network, you must enter the following address in the "To" field: [e-mail]. Likewise, for a phone number "2222222222 on Sprint, you must enter the address [e-mail].

4. Click the "Send" button to deliver your picture email to the cellphone.
