How to Install a Hondaline Windshield 1800VTX

Installing a Hondaline 1800 VTX on your motorcycle is a great way to prevent the wind or other debris from getting in your face when driving your bike on the road. Installing the windshield is a relatively easy task which can be completed in around half an hour. You can purchase all the tools you will need for the job from your local auto store.

Things You'll Need

• Socket wrench
• Phillips screwdriver

Instructions

1. Use a socket wrench to attach the Hondaline windshield frame onto the front panel and the handlebars of your bike.

2. Put on a pair of protective gloves. Carefully lift the windshield onto the bike.

3. Slide the windshield into the previously attached frame and line up the bolt holes on the windshield with those on the windshield frame.

4. Tighten the screws between the Hondaline windshield and the frame using a Phillips head screwdriver. Do not over-tighten the screws, as you could crack the windshield.

5. Place rubber protectors over the screw heads to prevent them from becoming rusted.
