How to Volunteer at Fat Camps
Fat camps are places where people go in order to loose excess weight and to educate themselves on how to lead a healthier lifestyle. These people, no matter their age, all need support and compassion, but also useful information and advice. Volunteering is a noble way of giving up your free time and getting a volunteer position at a fat camp will not be a difficult thing as long as you can prove your enthusiasm to camp leaders.

Think about your preferences. Various groups of people visit fat camps and, in turn, fat camps have different approaches to weight loss. Think about things like working with kids as apposed to adults, do you want to be in a more sports oriented camp or would you prefer a fat camp that focuses on the importance of organic food?

2
Find a fat camp in your local area. Volunteer work is not paid, so the sensible thing to do is to volunteer at a fat camp which is located near your home. This way you will be able to avoid commuting huge distances and spending a lot of money on travel.

Contact the camp leaders. Go online and find out if the fat camp has a volunteer program. If it does, follow the instructions and apply and, if it doesn't, call up the camp leaders and explain why you would like to help out. You can also write a letter or an email detailing your knowledge and skills.

Be enthusiastic and confident. Camp leaders are likely to appreciate any sort of help but you should prove yourself to be eager and passionate about the issue. This is especially the case if you don't have any relevant experience. The zeal you display and the reasons you have will be the key to you getting this volunteer position.
