Instructions

    • 1

Remove clothing that is covering the hair dye or is next to it. If you are removing hair dye from hairline or back of the neck, pull hair up and off the face and secure in a clip or a high ponytail.

    • 2

Apply 2 percent hydrogen peroxide to two or three cotton balls. Do not get them get soaking wet because you don't want it to get on your hands or leak onto your hair if you are removing stains from the hairline. Just dampen the cotton balls with hydrogen peroxide.

    • 3

Apply the hydrogen peroxide to the black hair dye stains. Dab it on gently. When doing it on the hairline, take special care not to get any on the hair. Hydrogen peroxide can bleach your hair or fade the color.

    • 4

Wash the hydrogen peroxide off the skin with warm water, mild cleanser and a soft cloth. Rub the stain gently with the cleanser and a soft cloth. This will remove the hydrogen peroxide, and rubbing it will help remove the black hair dye.
