How to Update and Manage a Capital One Account
Capital One is a financial services company headquartered in McLean, Virginia. Capital One offers a variety of accounts including credit cards, auto loans, checking and savings accounts, personal loans. You can access your Capital One account online by using Capital One's account management system. This online system allows you to update your account information and manage your account by viewing transactions or statements and making online payments to your account.

Go to the Capital One home page. Select the type of Capital One account you want to update and manage from the "Select an account" drop-down menu. Click the blue "Log In" button.

Enter your Capital One user name and password and click the green "Login" button.

Click on your account for detailed information about your account including your current account balance. If the account is a credit account, you will also see information about any minimum payment due and available credit on your account.

Select the "Transactions & Details" tab to display a list of transactions that have posted to your account since your list statement. You can also view a longer transaction history by selecting a date range from the "Recent Activity" drop-down menu.

Click the "Statements" tab and select the statement you want to view to open your complete statement from the billing period listed. You can view and print your last 12 statements.

Choose the "Pay Capital One" tab to make a payment on your Capital One credit account. Select the account you want to use to pay your Capital One account from the "Pay From" drop down menu. You can also select the "Add a payment method" option from this drop-down menu. Enter the amount you want to pay in the text box and click the green "Submit" button to complete your online payment.

Select the "Customer Service" tab to update your Capital One account. Select the aspect of your account you would like to update. You can update your email address, phone number, mailing address, password, security questions, authorized users and payment due date. Enter the updated information and click the "Submit" button to update your Capital One account.
