Instructions

    • 1

Measure and cut the card stock twice the desired size of the card when closed.

    • 2

Position a metal ruler on the card stock where you want to fold the card.

    • 3

Hold the metal ruler with one hand. Use your other hand to slide the pointed end of a bone folder across the edge of the ruler creating a score mark where you want the fold to be. Remove the bone folder and ruler and fold the card.

    • 4

Write the opening greeting on the front of the card with markers or glitter pens or use adhesive letters sold in the scrapbook section of craft stores. Punch out decorative shapes with craft paper punches, and glue them to the front of the card. Other decorative embellishments for the card include rubber stamps and ink, stickers, buttons, craft brads and glitter.

    • 5

Write a message inside the greeting card. The message for a greeting card is typically on the right side; however, longer messages, like poems, will start on the left side and continue to the right. Use a ballpoint pen or adhesive letters to write the message.

Decorate the inside of the card with the decorative embellishments.

Tips & Warnings
