The TeX typesetting program is used for formatting and page layout of the text documents. It provides the desktop publishing features that can be programmed by a document preparation system such as LaTeX. LaTeX markup language allows you to automate the typesetting of the documents created in the TeX program. LaTeX includes a set of the TeX macros and the program to process LaTeX documents. The offset of the document vertical length must be changed to adjust the top margin in LaTeX.

      Click the "Start" button in the Windows and select the "LaTex" from the "All Programs" menu to open the LaTeX application.

      Click the "Open" option from the "File" menu, click on your LaTeX document you want to edit and press the "OK" button to open the document.

      Locate the line in your LaTeX document starting with "\setlength".

      Add "\voffset[cin]" at the line end, where the "c" is the increase or decrease of the top margin length in inches.

      Click the "Save" option from the "File" menu to save the file with the adjusted top margin in your LaTex document.
