How to Remove Water Mark From Leather Table Top

Leather tabletops add luxury to rooms, but they must be maintained properly to keep them in good condition. The tabletops need to be cleaned differently than wood or glass surfaces to avoid damaging the material. Though water spots on these tabletops may look impossible to remove, you can do so by carefully cleaning the entire leather tabletop and allowing it to dry evenly. Care for your leather tabletop by cleaning it frequently and conditioning it to protect the finish.

Things You'll Need

• Small container
• Sponge
• Leather conditioner

Instructions

1. Fill a small container with room temperature water. Soak a sponge in the water, and wring out the excess to leave it damp.

2. Wipe the leather starting at the water spot, and work your way toward the edge of the tabletop. Avoid scrubbing the leather surface.

3. Wipe the leather uniformly with the damp sponge. Wetting the entire surface of the tabletop will allow it to dry uniformly instead of in just one location.

4. Let the leather air dry.

5. Apply a leather conditioner per package instructions so the natural oils of the tabletop do not dry out.

Tips & Warnings

• Always read care labels on leather to prevent accidental damage when cleaning it.

• Avoid wetting the leather with too much water.
