1
Hang the hose up on the installed hose hook whenever you're not using the central vacuum system. The closet where the hose is kept should never fall below 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
-
2
Insert the vacuum wand into the power unit's utility outlet hole. Turn the power unit on to remove any obstructions from the hose before resuming use.
-
-
3
Remove the handles from the hose prior to storing it. Keep the hose out of direct sunlight when storing it.
-
4
Call your central vacuum system's dealer after every 500 hours of use. The dealer will ensure your system is running properly and that the motor brushes are still in good shape.
-
5
Keep stored items off of the power unit. This can prevent the unit from receiving cool air, causing it to overheat.
-
6
Plug only the unit's power cord into the outlet designated for you central vacuum system. When your system was installed, the dealer should have used the proper sized circuit.
-
7
Hold the inlet door open for a few seconds each time you remove the hose. This will allow any leftover dust or dirt to leave the hose.
