Instructions

    • 1

Remove the current weather stripping. There is no permanent adhesive so grab hold of the stripping with your fingers and pull up. This removes the entire damaged stripping section.

    • 2

Measure the area of the frame you removed the weather stripping from. You need the measurement in order to cut out a correct length needed for the replacement stripping.

    • 3

Cut out the measured length from your roll of weather stripping. Weather stripping with an adhesive backing is available at your local hardware store.

    • 4

Remove the paper covering the weather stripping's adhesive backing and push the stripping into the upper corner of the door frame. Press down firmly to stick the stripping into place.

    • 5

Move down the weather stripping along the frame as you push it into position. This presses the adhesive against the wood or metal frame, locking the stripping into position.
