How to Make an RTF File
The Microsoft Rich Text Format provides text and graphics interchangeability across different applications, devices, operating systems and environments. This feature makes RTF a versatile word-processing format. An RTF created on a PC can be opened on a Mac, and vice versa. A document created in Adobe Acrobat and saved in RTF format can be opened in Microsoft Word. Microsoft Word is a common means of creating an RTF file.
