How to Send an Auto Response Through PayPal

PayPal, a subsidiary of eBay, is a secure e-payment system used by millions of people around the world to purchase goods and services online. Many websites accept payments via PayPal from customers who prefer not to pay with (or don't have) credit cards. Business owners desiring to add a personal touch to transactions can set up an auto-response to thank customers for their purchases by using PayPal's account options.

Instructions

1. Create a Web page on the site that you are selling from thanking your customers for their business. Design this page exactly as you want it to appear to your customers after they have completed their purchase on the PayPal website.

2. Log in to your PayPal account and select "More Options" under the "Profile" tab.

3. Click the "Update" button, located next to "Website Preferences."

4. Click the "On" button under the "Auto Return for Website Payments" heading. Type the URL of the custom thank-you page on your website in the box labeled "Return URL."

5. Click "Save." PayPal will now send an auto-response and display your thank-you page to your customers after they complete their payment transaction on the PayPal website.
