How to Mix Peanut Butter Into Ice Cream
With an ice cream maker, all delicious peanut butter ice cream concoctions are possible. Choose from a variety of recipes for an ice-cold treat to enjoy any time of the day. Things You'll Need
- 1 c. creamy peanut butter
- 2/3 c. granulated sugar
- 1 c. whole milk
- 2 c. heavy cream
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 oz. bittersweet chocolate
- 4 tbsp. cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 2 eggs
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1 c. whipping cream
- 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 c. peanut butter

Peanut Butter Ice Cream

Add 1 cup of creamy peanut butter and 2/3 cup of granulated sugar to a large bowl and beat on medium speed with an electric hand mixer until the mixture is smooth.

Add 1 cup of whole milk to the bowl and mix the ingredients with a electric mixer on low speed for two minutes.

Blend in 2 cups of heavy cream and 1 1/2 tsp. of vanilla extract with a mixing spoon.

Put the mixture in the refrigerator, covered, to cool for at least 2 hours.

Pour the ice cream mixture into the ice cream maker to mix for 15 to 20 minutes and then transfer to the freezer for 2 to 4 hours.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream

Heat the 2 ounces of bittersweet chocolate over a double boiler until melted. Slowly add 4 tbsp. of cocoa powder and 1 1/2 cups of milk, and continue to stir until the ingredients are blended.

Beat two eggs lightly in a mixing bowl and beat in 2/3 cup of white granulated sugar. Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the mixing bowl and stir until the mixture is smooth.

Stir in 1 cup of whipping cream and one tsp. of pure vanilla extract, and then allow the mixture to cool for 20 to 25 minutes in the refrigerator.

Pour 1/2 cup of peanut butter to a separate bowl and stir in 1 cup of the mixture in the cooled mixing bowl.

Pour the peanut butter mixture into the cooled mixing bowl and stir thoroughly, and then pour the entire mixture into the ice cream maker to freeze and serve.
