How to Plug an HP Pavilion Entertainment PC to a TV

Watch your favorite digital video files right on your TV's screen with the HP Pavilion Entertainment series computers. The series comes equipped with the necessary graphics cards and connection ports so you can enjoy your digital files any way you choose. Use an HDMI cable to send both the video and audio signal from your computer to your TV in a singular connection.

Instructions

1. Locate the HDMI port on the side of the HP Pavilion laptop. The port is thin and rectangular in shape.

2. Plug one end of the HDMI cable into the HDMI port on your HP Pavilion.

3. Locate the input panel on the rear of your TV. Plug the other side of the HDMI cable into the "HDMI" port on the rear of your TV.

4. Turn on your computer and turn on the power to your TV. Press the "Input" button on your TV until the image from the HP Pavilion appears on the TV.

Tips & Warnings

• If your TV does not have an HDMI port, use an S-video cable to make the connection. S-video cables do not transfer audio signals.
