Porta potties and other similar outhouses can be drab and boring on the inside.

A porta-potty is a portable outhouse used at construction sites, carnivals, parks and other places and events that call for their usage. When you are in possession of a porta-potty, it is necessary to keep it maintained and clean. You can also decorate a porta-potty to create a bathroom environment inside of it. Instructions

    • 1

Attach a magazine rack to the inside of the door of the porta-potty. Use a magazine rack that has adhesive tabs that are temporary. These can be found in any home decor shop or section in a department store. Fill the rack with appropriate reading material to give the appearance of a home bathroom.

Select and hang appropriate wall art using double-sided tape. Double-sided tape stays on until you remove it with ease and doesn't disrupt the paint or texture of walls. The wall art you select is up to your personal style but should convey a feeling of comfort. Consider seascapes and other serene scenes. Use colors that are easy to coordinate with other decor pieces.

Place air diffusers containing fragrant and essential oils on the small counter area near the toilet. Bamboo reeds in the diffusers create scents in the porta-potty that may not necessarily mask the odor, but lend to freshening the area, as well as making it look more attractive.

Place other bathroom essentials around the outhouse, such as a decorative basket containing hand-wipes and a decorative rug on the floor. Coordinate the colors with the colors in the wall art you chose previously.
