X-Cargo Sport 20 Car Top Carrier Installation
The X-Cargo Sport 20 Car Top Carrier is distributed by Sears. The carrier is designed to work with most factory installed car roof racks or aftermarket racks. The X-Cargo has a 20 cubic feet capacity, and measures 67-1/2 by 36-1/4 by 20-1/4 inches. The carrier attaches to the rack via a series of U-bolts, included with the carrier. When the carrier is loaded and closed, it provides a weatherproof hard shell storage system.

Twist the four wing nut handles on the bottom of the X-Cargo box. Remove the wing handles and take the U-bolt clamps off the fixtures.

Pick up the X-Cargo box and place it on the roof rack of the automobile. Keep the sloped end of the carrier (the front) facing the front of the automobile.

Place the clamps back onto the fixtures, making sure to clamp them down on the rack.

Screw the four wing-nut handles back onto the clamp fixtures to secure it to the car roof rack.

Tips & Warnings
Lock kits are options available through Sears or through Thule, the manufacturer of the X-Cargo. These locks attach to the rack and secure the box to the rack, acting as a theft deterrent.
