Easy Way to Install Mod Cars Into GTA 3

"Grand Theft Auto III" was originally released in 2001 for the PlayStation 2. The game takes place in a fictional location called Liberty City, where players assume the role of criminals as they rise to power. GTA 3 is an open-ended game in which players drive cars and use weapons to commit heists, robberies, hit-and-runs and other misdeeds. The PC version of GTA 3 was released in 2002 and allows players to modify objects, including cars, using downloadable software.

      Go to thegtaplace.com and click on "downloads" under the "GTA Vice City" tab. Download the "Vice City Mod Manager" and then extract it to your desktop using WinZip or WinRaR.

      Go to gtagaming.com and select "Vice City" at the top of the screen. Select "Vehicle Mods" under the "VCM Mods" tab. You will see a list of links with car descriptions. Click on any vehicle you want and download them.

      Double click the "Vice City Mod Manager" icon to open it. Select "Car" to see a list of the car-mods you just downloaded. Select which car mods you want installed -- and which cars to replace -- to your copy of GTA 3.

      Start a game of "Grand Theft Auto III." Your modified cars will appear in place of all the original cars you selected.

Tips & Warnings

  • The Vice City Mod Manager is compatible with both "Grand Theft Auto III" and "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City" for the PC.

  • Mods are typically fan-made and are not guaranteed to work properly. Do not try to mod while "Grand Theft Auto III" is open because it may corrupt the game.
