How to Use Laser Pens
Laser pens allow you to point at any object accurately, even if the object is distant. Laser pens are light and convenient pointer tools for people doing presentations in front of an audience. The dot created by a laser pen is bright and grabs attention quickly. Learning to use a laser pen will give you the ability to clearly point at anything and emphasize a point in a presentation.

1
Switch the pen on. The switch is often a push-switch, sometimes located at the opposite end from the lens. Some switches are momentary, so you can switch the pen on only when you are pointing at something, and automatically switch off when not depressed.
-
2
Point the laser dot at whatever you wish to indicate. If you are at a meeting, point the laser at an item on a projected list, at a location on a map or at an item on a whiteboard.

3
Move the laser dot in a circle for emphasis. Simply flick your wrist in a circular motion. It will look to the audience like you are drawing a circle around whatever it is you are pointing at.
-
4
Move the laser dot in a linear motion to indicate a path. For example, trace a river, road or route on a map.
