Check your 1990 Buick Park Avenue's oil levels if the oil pressure warning light is lit on the dashboard. Do not continue to drive your car once this light appears. Doing so may lead to extensive damage to your engine. Raise the Park Avenue's hood and locate the dipstick for the oil. Remove the dipstick and wipe it clean with a rag or paper towel. Replace the dipstick and remove it again. If the oil level does not reach at least the halfway mark between the lines on the dipstick, add more oil and recheck it. Continue to add oil until at the least the halfway mark is reached.

Check the Park Avenue's fuses if an electrical component such as the power windows and locks do not work. Remove the fusebox cover from the car's dashboard. Locate the fuse for the component using the diagram on the label affixed to the inside of the fusebox cover. Remove the fuse using pliers and check to see if it is blown out. If the metal link inside the fuse is broken, the fuse is blown out. Check the end of the fuse for its amperage rating and replace it with one with the same rating. Ensure the fuse is correctly inserted and replace the cover.

Check the tire inflation pressure in your Buick Park Avenue if the car seems to wobble or ride unevenly. Insert a tire air pressure gauge in the tire's valve. The gauge should be inserted so that no air is allowed to escape the tire. Read the tire pressure level on the meter on the side of the gauge. The recommended tire pressure for the Park Avenue is 34 psi. If the pressure is lower, add air to the tire. Check each tire and add air accordingly.
