How to Get Map Information on Dogpile
Gone are the days when obtaining a map required visiting a library or purchasing one from a store. You can now search for maps online. By viewing search results from multiple search engines, you can increase your chances of finding the information you need. Dogpile, a "metasearch" engine, queries other search engines such as Google, Yahoo and Bing. It merges the results and gives you a list containing maps that can assist you.

Visit the Dogpile website and locate the search box at the top of the Web page.

Type "Map" (without the quotes) in the search box, and click "Go Fetch." Dogpile will check other search engines for map-related information. Results appear below the search box.

Browse through the results and find an entry that can assist you. For instance, the list may include "Google Maps," "Maps & Driving Information," "Yahoo Maps" and even maps from MSN.

Double-click one of the results that contains the information you need. Dogpile will transfer you to the related website.

Return to Dogpile and type "Map xyz" (without the quotes) in the search box. Replace "xyz" with the name of any location such as the name of a country, state or city.

Press "Go Fetch." This time, Dogpile will return a more focused results list containing map information specific to your search query. For instance, if you enter "map Denver," you may see "Map of Denver," "Denver Airport Terminal Map" and "Denver Weather Maps" in the results list. By narrowing down your search this way, you can find detailed map information quickly.

Tips & Warnings
Dogpile also displays a helpful list of suggestions in the upper right corner of its Web page after you search. These results also contain items that may interest you. For example, after searching for "map Denver," the list of suggestions may include "Denver Neighborhoods" or other types of Denver maps.
