How to Remove a Hallmark eCard in Postcard.Zip thumbnail
If opened, postcard.zip will install a virus on your computer.

Back in 2009, an email began circulating that purports to be from e-cards@hallmark.com. It informs users they have received a card from someone and all they have to do is click the attached "postcard.zip" file to open it. However, that file contains a virus. If you receive a "Hallmark eCard" email with the postcard.zip file, remove it before it harms your computer.

Instructions

    • 1

      Open your email account.

    • 2

Select the "Hallmark eCard" email by clicking it once or clicking a check box to the left of it (varies by email).

    • 3

Select "Delete" from the File menu. If you are using a web browser, click the button marked "Trash" or "Move to Trash."

    • 4

Empty the email trash. Just deleting it will only remove it from view, but keep the postcard.zip file active and dangerous.
