How to Program Your Thermostat for a Heat Pump Plus

Heat pumps are popular HVAC devices that use vapor-compression refrigeration technology and a reversing valve to heat or cool your home with a single piece of equipment.       Program the current date and time for your thermostat. Press the "Up" or "Down" arrow buttons to adjust the highlight month indicator; press the "Next" or "Select" button when the desired month is shown. Use the same process to set the date, year, hour and minutes. Press "Done" when you are finished modifying the calendar and clock settings.

      Access the thermostat's system setup menu by pressing and holding the "System," "Setup" or "Settings" button. Press the "Up" or "Down" arrow buttons to select the appropriate system type from the on-screen menu. Press "Next" or "Select" when the "Heat Pump Plus" or "Heat Pump w/Auxiliary Heat" option is highlighted.
