Instructions

    • 1

Measure the length of your roof line to determine the slope from the starting point to the down spout. Calculate 1/4-inch to 1/2-inch for every 10 feet.

    • 2

Measure 1 1/2-inches from the drip edge down along the fascia at the starting location for the gutter installation.

    • 3

Measure from the drip edge on the roof down along the fascia, at the location of the down spout, adding 1 1/2 inches to the measurement previously determined and make a mark,. For example: if your roof line is 30 feet, the measurement from the drip edge down on the fascia board would be 2 1/4-inches to 3-inches.

    • 4

Snap a line from the starting location mark to the down spout mark, using a chalk line. Screw the gutter hangers to the fascia, every 2 feet, using the chalk line as a guide for the proper slope of the gutter. If using the hidden hanger method, attach the gutter hangers directly inside the gutter, under the lip of the gutter.

    • 5

Rotate the gutter upward until the back lip on the gutter hooks into the gutter hooks, then pull down to place the gutter on the hangers.

    • 6

Drill a hole in the outside edge of the gutter at every hanger. Secure the hangers to the gutter with 1-inch stainless steel machine screws and flange nuts. If the hidden gutter hangers are used then hold the gutter in place along the chalk line and screw through the hanger and backside of the gutter, using 1-inch exterior screw, to secure the gutter system to the fascia.
