Diablo is all about gathering magic items and hunting monsters. If you fail to acquire the necessary items, it's difficult to win the battles that allow you to progress through the game. This cheat enables you to duplicate items in the game.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Home Computers
  • Microsoft Windows
  • Diablo Software

Single-Player Game

Step1
Use a Town Portal.
Step2
Set your item of choice in front of the Portal.
Step3
Click on the item and move through the Portal. When you are teleported to town, a duplicate item will be in your inventory.
Step4
Immediately return through the Portal, and you will find the original item where you left it.

Multiplayer Game

Step1
Load up on healing or manna potions.
Step2
Drop any item on the ground and walk away.
Step3
Click on the item. You'll start walking back toward it.
Step4
Click on one of the potions on your belt just before you pick the item up.
Step5
Drop the potion you selected. When it hits the ground, it will change into a duplicate of the item you originally dropped.

Tips & Warnings

  • This cheat is prone to abuse, perhaps more so than others. Not only does it undermine the strategic economy that is one of the fundamentals of gameplay, but it also requires a rather dull logistical procedure. If overused, this combination can render Diablo about as exciting as rearranging the icons on your desktop.
  • Timing is everything. If the potion doesn't change into the desired item, you probably clicked on it too late. You may need to experiment with the distance you walk away from the dropped item to get your timing right.
  • Cheating in a multiplayer game is considered very bad form unless sanctioned by everyone in the group.
