How to Put Together a Sportsman Gazebo

The Sportsman Gazebo is the "house brand" semi-portable gazebo offered at the Sportsman's Guide catalog outfitter. This gazebo is designed to be set up without hand tools and act as a backyard or camping sun and rain shelter. The gazebo uses reinforced aluminum struts and poles that open and fold into each other via locking tabs. The gazebo, when collapsed and folded, packs into a large stuff sack for transport.

Instructions

    • 1

Pull the gazebo out of the storage bag, and set it on the ground where you want to put it. Press the circular tab at the top corner of each leg, near the gazebo roof fabric, and pop the legs out from the center.

    • 2

Hold one side of the gazebo fabric and have someone hold the opposite side. Walk backward, opening the gazebo tent fabric roof until the four legs are equal distance apart and you have a square with the four legs in each corner. Set the gazebo down on the four legs.

    • 3

Walk around the gazebo, gripping one leg at a time and pushing the circular lock tabs in to release the telescoping action on the leg rods and walls. The structure uses ladder-like legs. Pull the legs all the way down, and set the gazebo back up.

    • 4

Push the center connector up until the gazebo roof "clicks" into the locked position. Listen for the audible click, and then look to see the circular tab sticking out of the lock hole in the center of the bars under the gazebo roof.
