Instructions

    • 1

Groom your eyebrows in a well-lit room after taking a shower. The shower will open up your facial pores, and plucking will, therefore, be less painful. Apply a warm washcloth to your brows as an alternative to open up your pores.

    • 2

Brush your eyebrows up and outward with a clean mascara wand or spiral brush. Examine the natural shape of your eyebrows in the mirror. Avoid using a magnifying mirror because this may give the illusion that you have more eyebrow hairs than you really do.

    • 3

Draw the eyebrow shape you desire to create over your eyebrows with an eyebrow pencil. Use eyebrow stencils if desired. Place the stencil on top of your eyebrow and fill the stencil in with your eyebrow pencil.

    • 4

Disinfect your tweezer with isopropyl alcohol before and after using it.

    • 5

Pluck the hairs outside of the drawn eyebrow shape. Hold your skin taut between your thumb and index finger. Place your tweezer as close as possible to the root of the hair. Pull the hair out in the direction it is growing. Take out one hair at a time. Avoid overplucking, and frequently check your progress in the mirror.

    • 6

Pluck the stray hairs between your eyebrows as well.

    • 7

Comb your eyebrows upward, and use a small scissors to trim the hairs that extend beyond your brow bone.

    • 8

Apply cold cucumber slices to your eyebrow area to sooth any pain and redness you may be experiencing.

Tips & Warnings

  • Store your tweezer in the freezer before plucking your eyebrows. This will numb your skin as you pluck the hairs. You can also apply a baby teething pain preparation to your eyebrows to numb the area before plucking.
