How Do I Thread a Bradford Model 7070 Sewing Machine?
Threading a Bradford 7070 sewing machine can make the difference between accurately using your machine and not being able to sew your favorite t-shirt together again. With any sewing machine, you must wound your bobbin first before attempting to thread the sewing machine's needle. The thread from the spool of thread and the thread from the bobbin can produce a strong-holding cross stitch that can endure most wear and tear, such as the washer and dryer or an intense sporting event. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Place a spool of thread onto the top spindle, and then unwind the thread 20 times. Wrap the thread from the spool around the threaded guide at the front of the machine and around the bobbin, which should be placed on the left side of the machine.
-
2
Pull the knob on the back of the machine, and then step on the pedal to wind the bobbin. Take the bobbin off the spindle once the rotation, which will automatically stop, is complete.

3
Slide off the plate underneath the sewing machine's needle, and then place the filled bobbin onto the newly exposed spindle. Unwind 5 to 8 inches of the thread from the bobbin and out of the compartment, and then slide the plate back into place.
-
4
Unwind 5 to 7 additional inches of thread counterclockwise from the spool at the top of the sewing machine. Bring the thread around the tension guide toward the front of the machine and down the left-sided indent. The indent will have a designated arrow pointing down.
-
5
Insert the thread through the needle, and then adjust the tension of the thread by turning the dial on the back of the machine clockwise. The tension dial is labeled one through 10; For standard thread, use a five or six setting. Push the knob in, and then turn the hand wheel until the needle has picked up the bobbin and tensioned thread. The end result of the sewing machine should have a piece of thread coming from the main spindle, around the tension guide and through the needle. Another strand of thread will come from the bobbin, underneath the plate and through the needle.
