How to Test a Scorpion Helmet
The Scorpion company specializes in motorcycle helmets and safety gear. Scorpion helmets can adapt to both on- and off-road riding terrains. As of 2011, Scorpion also offers helmets for freestyle snowmobiling. In the event of a motorcycle crash, a properly fitting helmet can help to prevent serious injuries. Scorpion USA recommends performing a few basic tests to ensure your helmet fits. The helmets from Scorpion are equipped with an inflatable inner lining that provides a custom fit.

1
Place the tape measure horizontally above your eyebrows. Wrap the tape measure around your head to measure the circumference. Choose a Scorpion helmet that corresponds with the dimensions of your head.
-
2
Insert your head into the Scorpion motorcycle helmet. Fasten the helmet's safety strap securely under your chin. Rotate your head from side to side to ensure the helmet does not move independently.

3
Push the back of the helmet forward with your dominant hand. Insert the smallest finger of your non-dominant hand between your forehead and the helmet's inner lining. Select a smaller sized helmet if your finger fits between the inner lining.
-
4
Place your hand under the chin bar of the Scorpion helmet. Push up on the chin bar to test the lift of the Scorpion helmet. Choose a smaller size if the helmet lifts off the top of your head.
