Your 1996 Seadoo is a 2-stroke engine that requires oil to be mixed with the fuel. This is because this engine doesn't have any oil inside of it to cool it down and provide lubrication. It instead relies on oil delivered with the fuel to accomplish this task. In all 1996 Seadoo models the oil is injected directly into the cylinder at the same time as the fuel. This assures the engine is always getting the proper amount of lubrication.

Instructions

    • 1

      Open the front hood of the Seadoo and locate the oil fill cap. This will be the cap with a diagram of a oil can on top.

      Unscrew the cap counterclockwise and remove.

    • 3

      Pour 2-stroke engine oil into the tank until it is one inch from the top.

    • 4

      Place the oil cap back onto the fill pipe and tighten by turning clockwise.
