How to Use FTP Programs
File Transfer Protocol, also known as FTP, is used to transfer files between computers on a network. You can use FTP for things such as exchanging files or accessing software archives to upload files to your computer, such as MP3 files and videos. In order to connect to an FTP site, you will need an FTP program installed on your computer.

To transfer a file click on it one time to highlight it and then click on the transfer files arrow or it may say "Upload," depending upon which program you are using. If you want to transfer more then one file at a time, hold down the "CTRL" key on your keyboard and click on each folder you want to transfer and then click the arrow or "Upload" button.

Select only the files in the same mode to upload; for example, you can upload all images or HTML files, but you cannot upload images and HTML files at the same time. The download progress shows at the bottom of the screen. When it is finished, it will list the transferred file on the screen and show as completed.
