How to Vacuum the Pool
Owning a swimming pool is an investment in both time and money, but is also a fun activity for every member of your family. Children and adults can benefit from having a backyard pool, and it is important to keep the water clean and safe for all swimmers. You must test your chemical levels regularly, flush your filter, clean out the skimmer basket and vacuum. Vacuuming the pool removes leaves and other debris and helps to keep the water clear. Under normal circumstances, one thorough vacuum per week is usually all you need. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions

-
1
Attach one end of the vacuum hose to the vacuum head, and then secure both of them securely to the pole.
-
2
Slide the vacuum head, hose and vacuum pole into the deep end of the pool, or just one side of the pool if it is all one depth.
-
-
3
Position the other end of the hose in front of the water return fitting, so it fills with water. A full hose prevents binding the pump with air. Watch for the vacuum head to rise in the water, indicating enough water is in the hose.
-
4
Attach the skimmer basket adapter to the top of the skimmer basket and place the end of the hose on the adapter. The filter will struggle momentarily, then run as normal.
-
5
Hold the pole and run the head of the vacuum slowly along the bottom of the pool. Clean the debris out of the skimmer basket when you are finished vacuuming.
