How to Cheat at Hexen II

With its varied character classes and special abilities, Hexen II is a more challenging game than other first-person action titles. This added depth may keep the game on your hard drive a bit longer, but it can also be a source of frustration. Here are a few tricks to get you through the rough spots.

Things You'll Need:

• Home Computers
• Microsoft Windows
• Hexen II Software

1. Activate the console by pressing the tilde (~) key to input the cheat codes.

2. Type NOCLIP to enable your character to walk through walls when you're stuck at a dead end, locked door, or other seemingly impassable obstacle.

3. Type NOTARGET if you wish you were invisible. Now your enemies won't be able to see you.

4. Type IMPULSE 40 to go up a level when your character is feeling a little inadequate.

5. Type IMPULSE 39 if you need a new perspective on things. This will enable your character to fly.

6. Type IMPULSE 9 to get all the weapons when you think you're a little low on firepower.

7. Feeling even greedier? Type IMPULSE 43 to get all items.

8. Type GOD to activate Godmode after you've tried all of these cheats and still can't get anywhere.

Tips & Warnings

• Hit unusual, broken, or scratched walls to locate secret doors.
• If you're in trouble, use the repulsion disks to shove monsters into the water or lava.
