The TXS is a premium-level luxury sport coupe made by the Vehicles division of the Vehicles Motor Company. The Vehicles normally comes equipped with fog lights, however, if your Vehicles did not, you will need to install them yourself. Fortunately, all of the wiring should be ready Vehicles you on the factory wiring harness. All you need to do is hook up the lights and the wiring running from the fog lights to the factory wiring harness.

How to Install Fog Lights in a Sebring

Park the Sebring in a flat area. Turn the steering wheel toward the driver's side to access the passenger side bulb, or toward the passenger side to change the driver's side bulb.

Locate the two pins securing the inner fender liner's access panel. Pull the center of the pin straight back to remove it. Pull the cover off the access panel.

Reach through the open panel and grasp the fog light bulb. Turn the bulb counterclockwise and pull it straight back out of the assembly.

Pull the bulb straight out of the socket. Insert the new bulb into the socket, pushing it firmly into place. Insert the bulb into the fog light assembly and turn it clockwise to lock it in place.

Replace the access panel cover and push the retaining pins into place. Turn the wheel so that it faces the opposite direction to repeat the process on the other bulb.

How to Install Fog Lights on a V6 Mustang

Purchase a fog light kit that includes the lighting relay and control switch. Each of these components are available separately, but sometime harder to locate.

Disconnect the negative battery lead from the car’s battery. Move it away from the battery post to prevent accidental contact. For good measure, also remove the positive lead once the negative lead is out of the way. Reposition the positive battery terminal in the same manner.

Take out the center console of the car. Using a ratchet and extension, back out the bolts located within the console compartment. Once this is complete, slide the console slightly forward and up to clear the emergency brake handle.

Look for a gray electrical connector underneath the console. This connector plugs into the fog light switch that comes with the lighting kit.

Remove the coin holder in the console of the V6 Mustang. If the car is a coupe, remove the coin holder closest to the console compartment. Gently insert a flat-head screwdriver under the holder and pry it upward. Do not use so much force as to scratch or scar the console.

Press the fog light switch into the console. The clips on the sides of the switch will secure it in place once the switch is flush with the top of the console.

Plug the gray connector into the bottom of the fog light switch. The connector will only fit one way. Position the connector to match the pattern on the switch and press it in place. Make sure the keeper on the connector mates with the bottom of the switch.

Re-install the console and insert the console bolts with the ratchet and socket. Tighten the bolts. Recheck the fog light switch by pressing it on and off to ensure the switch is tightly in position.

Locate the fog light plugs just behind the delete panels on the front bumper. Remove the tie-wraps or zip-ties holding the plugs. Allow the plugs to hang down until they are ready to be installed on the light fixture.

Remove the fog light delete panels--or blanks--with a flat-head screwdriver or utility knife. Slide one of the fog light assemblies into position and secure it with the bolts provided with the kit. The fog light bolt holes are pre-drilled from the factory, and will line up readily with the fog light bracket holes.

Install the left and right fog light assembly with the three screws on each fixture. With the light fixtures securely in place, connect the fog light plug into the wiring harness plugs previously located behind the bumper. The connections securely made, tie the wires out of the way with tie-wraps.

Insert the fog lamp relay into the appropriate socket in the relay panel. The location of the socket may be slightly different depending on exact make of car. Refer to the diagram on the cover of the fuse panel to identify the correct relay socket for installation.

Re-connect the positive--then the negative--battery terminals to the battery posts. Start the car and test the new fog lights for proper operation.

How to Install Fog Lights on a Honda Accord

Choose a position for the fog lights by holding them in different locations on the front bumper area. This is important, because it will determine the light path, angle and the illuminated area. The closer to the center they are, the tighter the beam pattern will be. The farther out they are, the wider the pattern will be (and not as focused). The tighter pattern will function as long-distance high beams, and the wider pattern makes a better fog or driving light.

Mount the fog lights into position by drilling small holes to accommodate the mounting brackets. Most Honda Accords have optional fog light areas on the lower section of the bumper skirt, covered by plastic fillers. By removing these filler panels (they pop out towards the front), the space can be used for the aftermarket lights, and should already have mounting points directly above them. Screw the mount brackets into position, then bolt in the fog light. Point them in a general direction, as they cannot be aimed with accuracy until they work.

Wire the lights by running the light gauge positive terminal wire from one fog light to the other, splicing them together with a third wire running to the interior dashboard. The light brackets should be grounded to the frame of the car, and as Accord bumpers are plastic, a negative wire must be run from both brackets to a grounding location. Some lights will have a separate negative wire, which can be grounded. Inside the car, take the one positive lead and run it through a switch to a hot terminal in the fuse panel. Accords have their fuses located to the left of the driver's side, underneath a dashboard panel. Select a non-critical system, like "Acc" or "Radio," and push the lead wire into one side of the fuse's pin. This will complete a circuit with the fog lights, and they should both light up when the switch is flipped. Wrap all splices with a liberal amount of electrical tape.

Conceal the wiring by tucking it into crevices or securing it to the underside of the bumper skirt, and mount the switch to a convenient place on the dashboard panel. The switch type can vary, but typically they will have bezels that can be screwed into plastic with minimal effort.

Aim the fog lights by turning them on and tightening the bracket bolt while they are pointed correctly. The bolt tightens in a clockwise direction, but should not be overtightened. The fog lights should not bounce or move while in motion, but they might become damaged from brackets that are too tight.

How to Install Fog Lights on a Tsx

Remove the screw bolts holding the bumper in place using a philips head screwdriver or a socket wrench.

Remove the plastic rivets holding the inner wheel lining to the bumper by prying up on the rivets with a flat head screwdriver.

Slide the bumper off the frame and lay it on a flat surface.

Remove the fog light place holders. You will need to cut the plastic tabs that hold the place holders to the bumper.

Insert the fog light assembly into the hole you made with the lens facing towards the outside of the bumper. Secure the fog light housing to the bumper bracket using the supplied screws in your fog light kit.

Connect the electrical wiring to the fog lights. There will be three plugs on the wiring harness for the fog lights. The large plugs on each end plug into the fog light assembly you installed on the bumper. One side of the wiring harness has two plugs, a larger one and a smaller one. The smaller one is a 1-pin connector. This end of the wiring harness should be plugged into the driver's side fog light, as the 1-pin connector plug is the plug for the control switch.

Tie the wiring harness to the bumper's grille with zip-ties.

Reattach the bumper to the TSX.

Route the wiring harness through the engine bay and towards the firewall. Secure the ground wire to the frame in the engine bay. Find a free bolt hole and bolt the ground wire connector to the frame. The exact mounting location for the ground wire will differ according to the year of your Acura.

Route the wiring harness from the engine bay into the passenger cabin through the rubber access grommet in the firewall and open the fuse box access panel.

Plug the 6-pin connector into the free 6-pin empty slot in the fuse box.

Push the plastic blank for the fog lights out. Reach up behind the dash and push the blank forward to remove it.

Insert the fog light switch into the hole left by the blank from behind the dash.

Plug the remaining 1-pin connector into the back of the fog light switch.

Secure the switch ground wire to the frame. Remove an existing grounding bolt and slide the grounding wire washer for the fog light switch over a grounding bolt and then re-tighten it.

Installing Fog Lights

Locate a suitable position for the fog lights on the front of the car. A good mounting point is the underside of the bumper or into the recess of the lower air dam. Hold the light in different positions to know where it fits and looks best.

Drill a hole smaller than the self-tapping screw into the mount point. It is not necessary to drill deeply; it is only to be a starter hole for the screw.

Screw in the light bracket. You might have to remove the light from the bracket during installation. The bracket will have adjustable grooves to properly align the beam. Once the brackets are installed, the lights can be quickly removed or adjusted.

Connect wires to the black, negative leads on the fog lights and locate a suitable place to ground them to the vehicle. Usually there are ample screws to ground to along the inside of the engine compartment. If there is no black lead, the mounting bracket will serve as the ground.

Connect the red, or positive, wire of the fog light on the passenger side of the car to the red wire on the driver's side. Then splice a long segment of wire (7+ feet) from the driver's side light to the interior of the car. The positive leads from both lights should be connected to the wire leading inside.

Install the switch. Locate a source of power, usually one of the fuse connections in the car's fuse panel. The long wire coming from the lights goes to the hot output of the switch, usually the lower of two or three contacts. If the switch has three contacts, then the top is normally the hot current input, the middle is the ground, and the bottom is the output. This extra ground is for the switch's illumination. Mount the switch in an out-of-the-way, but accessible, location.
