Find the circuit breaker that powers your boiler and check the switch. It could have previously been tripped, which would explain why your boiler is no longer functional. Check the fuse: if it has blown, remove and replace it with a new one.
-
2
Look for a reset button on your boiler--it should be clearly marked. Press it, wait for 30 minutes and return to your boiler to ascertain whether you have hot water.

Clean old water out of the boiler by flushing it. Dirty water can eventually block the pipes, leading to failure. Turn off all power to the boiler and open all the drains, as well as the manual feed. Water will now flow out--wait for it to run clear. Close the boiler drains again and wait for the water pressure to increase to 20 lbs per square inch. Turn the boiler back on.

Look at your expansion tank, located above the boiler. It could be too full, in which case you should bleed it and remove around 5 gallons. Remember to switch the boiler off before doing this.
