How to Make St. Patrick's Day Decorations

Things You'll Need
- White Styrofoam or paper plate
- Craft knife
- Red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple paper streamers
- Scissors
- Craft glue
- String
- Terracotta plant pot
- Black acrylic craft paint
- Paintbrush
- Green plastic or paper Easter grass
- Gold foil-wrapped chocolates
- Red, orange, yellow, green and blue pipe cleaners

Hanging Paper Rainbow

Create a vibrant rainbow streamer decoration to hang in your home. A rainbow is a symbol often association with leprechauns and St. Patrick's Day. Start the craft by cutting the center out of a white Styrofoam or paper plate using a craft knife.

Cut red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple paper streamers into 18-inch long pieces. Glue the streamers to the bottom of the plate rim to resemble a rainbow.

Make a small hole at the top of the plate rim using scissors or any other sharp object. Loop a piece of string through the hole for hanging.
Pot of Gold

Design a pot of gold craft that will double as a St. Patrick's Day party table centerpiece and snacks for guests. Begin the craft by covering the outside of a terracotta plant pot with black acrylic craft paint. Allow the paint to thoroughly dry.

Fill the painted pot to the top with green plastic or paper Easter grass. Place gold foil-wrapped candies, such as chocolate coins, on top of the grass.

Bend red, orange, yellow, green and blue pipe cleaners into arches. Place the blue arched pipe cleaner into the top of the pot so that it resembles a handle. Next, place the green pipe cleaner on top of the blue one. Continue with the yellow, orange and red pipe cleaners until a rainbow is formed.
