How to Seal a Crack in a Bird Bath Bowl
Bird baths not only look decorative in your yard or garden but also provide song birds with a place to splash, bathe and drink. Sometimes stone bird bath bowls can become cracked, causing the water to leak out. Although you could purchase a new bird bath from a gardening store, you can repair the crack in your damaged bird bath using a patching mixture. Things You'll Need
- Scrubby sponge
- Dish soap
- Concrete patching mixture
- Grout trowel
- Paintbrush

Wet the bird bath bowl thoroughly with water, and scrub it well using dish soap and a scrubby sponge. Rinse the bowl well, then allow it to air dry.

Spread concrete patching mixture over the cracked area of the bowl using a grout trowel.

Press the mixture into the cracks, then smooth it across the surface to remove any demarcation lines.

Tap over the mixture using the tip of a paintbrush, which will blend the patching mixture into the bowl to make it look like it hasn't been patched.

Allow the bowl to air dry completely before use.
